RealMedia

A streaming media technology for the Internet from RealNetworks. Using the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), it is designed to handle any type of media, including audio, video, MIDI, text, animation and presentations. The RealMedia Architecture (RMA) allows multiple streams to be synchronized simultaneously; for example, sending images intermixed with audio. See RTSP and streaming server.
