Rejection Filter

The following article is from The Great Soviet Encyclopedia (1979). It might be outdated or ideologically biased.

Rejection Filter

an electric filter that prevents the passage of oscillations in a certain frequency band but permits the passage of oscillations outside of this band.

Rejection filters are used to reduce the interference generated by a powerful radio station (usually nearby) and affecting the reception of other radio stations (suppression filter), or to suppress interference generated by the audio frequencies of the sound track on a television screen (notching filter).

The reason for the decline is the stronger rejection filter that prevents suspicious returns from being processed.
This paper aims to explore the total effect of the bandpass filter (BPF) and rejection filter (RF) on the ECG signal recorded by a high-resolution electrocardiograph based on nanoelectrodes without filters in the band from 0 to 150 Hz [2].
The nonlinear characteristics of diodes generate unwanted harmonic signals that propagate backward to the antenna and forward to the load; therefore, a harmonic rejection filter, a DC-pass filter, and a matching circuit for the diode impedance should be carefully designed to obtain an optimized [[eta].sub.RF-DC] [7-11].

The output of the differential CMOS LNA is connected to a balun and passes through an image rejection filter to the single-ended mixer.
We investigated various parameters for potential rejection filters. The criteria used to select the filters are that a valid and efficient rejection filter should not generate any false negatives and should be able to significantly reduce the number of chemicals for experimental evaluation.
