Rogeting

Rogeting

Using Roget's Thesaurus or another synonym listing to avoid plagiarism detection of stolen copyrighted text. When words are replaced on a large body of text with a single search-and-replace function, the results will not compare exactly to the original work. For example, if a budding anthropologist "lifted" a portion of Jane Goodall's studies and replaced every instance of "gorillas" with "primates," the plagiarism may go undetected.
