a city (until 1954, a settlement) under oblast jurisdiction in Issyk-Kul’ Oblast, Kirghiz SSR. Rybach’e is located on the western shore of Lake Issyk-Kul’. It is a landing and also the terminus of the Lugovaia-Rybach’e railroad line. There are highways to Frunze, Przheval’sk, and Naryn. Rybach’e has a food industry, which includes a meat-packing plant and a cereal-products combine; a shipyard; and a veterinary sanitary plant.
