Saian

 

(Saianskii Khrebet), a mountain range in the Zapadnyi Saian. Composed primarily of schists, granites, porphyrites, and tuffs, the Saian range rises to an elevation of 2,736 m. It is covered with cedar, larch, and fir taiga to about 1,700–1,800 m.
