SCM

(1) (Software Configuration Management, Source Code Management, Software Change Manager) See configuration management.

(2) See supply chain management and storage class memory.

(3) (Single Chip Module) A chip package that contains one chip. Contrast with MCM.

(4) (Service Control Manager) The part of Windows that launches background tasks. Developers can write executable programs that run under the control of the SCM.
