Los miembros de la familia Sabellariidae Morch son organismos sedentarios tubicolas que se distribuyen desde la zona intermareal hasta 6000 m de profundidad (BastidaZavala y Becerril-Tinoco, 2009) y desde los tropicos hasta regiones subpolares (Achari, 1972).
