Sabzevar

(säbzĕvär`), city (1991 pop. 148,065), Razavi Khorasan prov., NE Iran. It is the trade center of a cotton-growing region. The city's manufactures include textiles and rugs.

Sabzevar

 

a city in northeastern Iran, in the ostan (province) of Khorasan; located on the Tehran-Meshed highway. Population, 45,000 (1971). Industry in Sabzevar includes the production of carpets and leather. The city also has flour mills and a brickyard.
