Sacramento Peak Observatory

(sak-ră-men -toh) A solar observatory sited on Sacramento Peak, New Mexico, at an altitude of 2800-meters. It is a facility of the US National Solar Observatory. The main instrument is a 41-meter high vacuum tower telescope (see solar telescope).
