Samarskii, Aleksei Dominikovich
Born circa 1855; year of death not known. Russian inventor.
In 1896, Samarskii developed a design for a motion-picture camera that had an original intermittent mechanism for intermittent motion of the film, a locking device that entered a perforation (a prototype of the registering pin), and a device for regulating the exposure and projection speeds.
