Saulkrasti

 

an urban-type settlement in Riga Raion, Latvian SSR. Situated on the Gulf of Riga, on the Riga-Tallinn highway. Railroad station 46 km northeast of Riga. The settlement has a fishing kolkhoz and a branch of the Salacgrīva fish-canning combine. In addition, there are camping sites and a children’s sanatorium.
