Selenginsk

 

an urban-type settlement in Kabansk Raion, Buriat ASSR. Selenginsk is located on the left bank of the Selenga River (which empties into Lake Baikal), 3 km from the Selenga railroad station on the Irkutsk-Ulan-Ude line. It has a pulp-and-cardboard combine and a factory producing rein-forced-concrete products. It also has an industrial technicum and a medical school.
