Semipolar Bond

 

a chemical bond formed as a result of a donor-acceptor interaction. The name “semipolar bond” emphasizes that, regarding the degree of polarity, this bond occupies an intermediate position between low-polarity covalent bonds and high-polarity ionic bonds. The term “semipolar bond” is rarely used.
