Shah-Fazyl

 

(also Safid-Bulend), a monument of Asian architecture. Shah-Fazyl is a domed brick mausoleum with a concentric plan, located in the settlement of Safid-Bulend, Osh Oblast, Kirghiz SSR. It was probably built in the 11th or 12th century. The interior is richly ornamented with carved ganch (a mixture of burned gypsum and clay), some of which is tinted.
