Shapsug

 

part of the Adygeians; in the past one of the Adygeian tribes. The Shapsug, who inhabit the Adygei Autonomous Oblast and Tuapse and Lazarevskoe raions of Krasnodar Krai, speak the Shapsug dialect of the Adygei language. Their economy is based on land cultivation and fruit growing.
