Shatki

 

an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Shatki Raion, Gorky Oblast, RSFSR. Situated on the Tesha River, a tributary of the Oka, Shatki is served by a railroad station on the Arzamas-Krasnyi Uzel line. Industry is represented by a butter factory, a cereal-products combine, and a plant that produces reinforced-concrete structural members. Shatki has a house of rest.
