Shawnee State Park

Location:Off State Route 125, northwest of Portsmouth.

Special Features:Located in the Appalachian foothills bordering the Ohio River, park is nestled in the 60,000-acre Shawnee State Forest. The state forest includes a multitude of trails, including a popular 50-mile backpack trail and 75 miles of bridle trails.
