Simeiz

 

an urban-type settlement in Crimea Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, under the jurisdiction of the Yalta city soviet. Simeiz is located in the southern part of the Crimea, 21 km southwest of Yalta and 68 km from Sevastopol’. It is a climatic health resort on the Black Sea. Summers are hot, with an average July temperature of 27°C, and winters are very mild, with an average January temperature of 7°C. Annual precipitation is approximately 350 mm. Simeiz has sanatoriums for the treatment of tuberculosis, a water treatment facility, and houses of rest. The city also has a winery.
