Sinoksal’

 

a ceramic material based on Al2O3. The name of the material is formed from the first letters of the words sintez (synthesis), oksid (oxide), and aliuminii (aluminum). Sinoksal’ is used primarily as a high-temperature dielectric—for example, in spark plugs. Products made of sinoksal’ are manufactured by the methods of ceramic technology (seeCERAMICS).
