Slosson, Edwin Emery

(1865–1929) chemist, author; born in Albany (now Sabetha), Kans. Based in Chicago (1902) and then Washington, D.C. (from about 1920), he was primarily a popularizer of science, writing 18 books and over 2,000 articles as well as 20 technical bulletins on chemical research.
