(Same Old Software As AService) A derogatory term for SaaS products that were not engineered for the Internet but were essentially locally installed programs moved to the cloud. Internet-based software must provide individual customization as well as privacy for each user, while ensuring that everyone is working with the same and most updated version. See SaaS.
