Solar-assisted hot water

Solar-assisted hot water

A solar hot-water array on a roof that supplements (but does not exclusively supply) the hot-water supply to a home. Water warmed by solar energy is pumped into the hot-water heater, where less energy is required to heat it than if only cold water was in the tank.
