Solonikha

 

a balneologic and pelotherapeutic health resort in Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR, in the Evda River valley. Soloni-kha is located 8 km from the Krasnoborsk landing on the Sever-naia Dvina and 50 km from the Kotlas railroad station. The water from mineral springs is used therapeutically. It is used for therapeutic baths and for drinking. Silt mud is obtained from a local lake and from Lake Solenoe, which is near the Sol’vychegodsk health resort. Those with diseases of the muscu-loskeletal organs and the peripheral nervous system and gynecologic and other disorders are treated. Solonikha has a sanatorium and a water- and mud-treatment facility.
