Sosnovyi Bor

 

a city (since 1973) under oblast jurisdiction in Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR. Located near the Gulf of Finland. Railroad station (Kalishche) 81 km west of Leningrad. Population, 32,000 (1975). The Leningrad Atomic Power Plant is located in Sosnovyi Bor. Enterprises include a machine-building plant, a plant for the manufacture of fodder-producing machines, and a fish-processing combine. Sosnovyi Bor

 

an urban-type settlement in Svetlogorsk Raion, Gomel’ Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. Located 4 km from the Zherd’ railroad station on the Zhlobin-Kalinkovichi line. The Svetlogorskoe Peat-processing Enterprise is located in Sosnovyi Bor.
