Sovet Turkmenistany

 

(Soviet Turkmenistan), a republic-wide Turkmen-language newspaper of the Turkmen SSR. The newspaper was founded in 1920 under the title Turkmenistan; it has appeared under its present name since 1936. It is published in Ashkhabad six times a week. Circulation, more than 140,000 (1975). Sovet Turkmenistany was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1958.
