Sovetskii

 

an urban-type settlement in Frunze Raion, Osh Oblast, Kirghiz SSR. Located in the foothills of the Alai Range, 62 km southwest of the Margilan railroad station, Sovetskii has a furniture factory.


Sovetskii

 

an urban-type settlement in the Komi ASSR, under the jurisdiction of the Gorniatskii raion soviet of the city of Vorkuta. Sovetskii is located 13 km from Vorkuta. Coking coal is mined near the settlement.

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sovetskii Raion, Mari ASSR. Located on the Ioshkar-Ola-Urzhum highway, 42 km east of Ioshkar-Ola, Sovetskii has a furniture and woodworking combine, a butter factory, and other enterprises.


Sovetskii

 

(until 1948, Iokhannes), an urban-type settlement in Vyborg Raion, Leningrad Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea, Sovetskii has a railroad station 25 km south of Vyborg. The Vyborg Pulp-and-Paper Combine is located in the settlement.


Sovetskii

 

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sovetskii Raion, Khanty-Mansiinsk National Okrug, Tiumen’ Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Ukh River, of the Ob’ River basin, Sovetskii has a railroad station (Verkhnekondinskaia) on the Ivdel’-Sergino line. It has a timber combine, a logging and timber distribution establishment, a sawmill and woodworking combine, and a milk plant.


Sovetskii

 

(formerly Ichki), an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Sovetskii Raion, Crimean Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Railroad station (Krasnoflotskaia) on the Dzhankoi-Kerch’ line. Population, 33,200 (1975). Sovetskii has a milk plant, a winery, and a cereal-products combine. Educational institutions include a hydromelioration and agricultural-mechanization technicum. Sovetskii also has a people’s amateur theater and a museum of military and labor glory.
