Soviet-Ghanaian Agreements

 

Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Ghana on Jan. 14, 1958. The two countries concluded an agreement on economic and technical cooperation on Aug. 4, 1960, and on expanded agreement of this type on Nov. 4, 1961. Other agreements between the countries include those on long-term trade (Nov. 4, 1961), longterm payments (Nov. 4, 1961), air transportation (Apr. 6, 1962), the exchange of information between TASS and the Ghana News Agency (June 26, 1962), cooperation in ocean fishing (Dec. 20, 1963), and cultural cooperation (July 10, 1970).
