Soviet-Guinean Agreements

 

Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Guinea on Oct. 4, 1958. The two countries concluded agreements on economic and technical cooperation (Aug. 24, 1959), cultural cooperation (Nov. 26, 1959), long-term trade and payments (Sept. 8, I960), and air transportation (Jan. 14, 1962). Other agreements include an agreement on cooperation in maritime fishing (Feb. 2, 1966), a protocol on economic and technical assistance to Guinea in organizing commercial fishing (Feb. 2, 1966), agreements on cooperation in radio broadcastng (Jan. 4, 1967) and on economic and technical assistance to Guinea (Sept. 20, 1967), and a protocol establishing equivalency in diplomas and academic degrees (Apr. 9, 1968).

The two countries also concluded agreements on cooperation in establishing and running a Guiñean national company for mining bauxite (Nov. 27, 1969), on cooperation in establishing and operating a water-supply system for the city of Nzerekore (May 20, 1970), and on questions of economic and technical cooperation (Nov. 17, 1973).

Soviet-Guinean (Equatorial Guinea) Agreements

 

Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Equatorial Guinea on Dec. 7, 1968. The two countries concluded agreements on trade (June 30, 1970), cooperation in marine fishing (Aug. 29, 1971, and May 8, 1973), economic and technical cooperation (Dec. 17, 1971), and air transportation (May 31, 1973).


Soviet-Guinean (Guinea-Bissau) Agreements

 

Diplomatic relations were established between the USSR and Guinea-Bissau by an exchange of letters between Sept. 30 and Oct. 6, 1973. On Feb. 21, 1975, the two countries concluded agreements on trade, economic and technical cooperation, cultural and scientific cooperation, and air transportation.
