Soyer, Moses

(1899–1974) painter; born in Tombov, Russia (twin of Raphael Soyer and brother of Isaac Soyer). His family emigrated to New York (1912), he worked in a factory, studied in New York, and, like his brothers, painted city scenes, as in Girl at Sewing Machine (1939–40).
