Any of a group of arthritis disorders characterized by involvement of the axial (central) skeleton and association with the histocompatibility system.

Da Costa, Dritsa, Ring, and Fitzcharles (2004) found an association between more physical leisure time activities and decreased fatigue in 66 people with spondylarthropathy. Khemthong and colleagues (2008) supported the negative association of physical leisure and fatigue in 60 people with MS.
