Srednekolymsk

 

a city and administrative center of Sred-nekolymsk Raion, Yakut ASSR. Landing on the bank of the Kolyma River. Srednekolymsk has a milk plant and a livestock-raising sovkhoz. It was founded in 1644 as a penal colony.
