St. John, Adela Rogers

(1894–1988) journalist; born in Los Angeles. Daughter of criminal lawyer Earl Rogers—the subject of her 1962 best-seller, Final Verdict —she reported for the Hearst syndicate on such stories as the Leopold-Loeb murder trial and wrote fiction and confessional-style celebrity interviews.
