Stark, Harold M. (Mead)

(1939–  ) mathematician; born in Los Angeles, Calif. He began his career at the University of Michigan (1964–72) before joining the Massachusetts Institute of Technology faculty (1972). He specialized in elementary number theory with emphasis on zeta functions and applications in quadratic fields.
