Stokes, Thomas Lunsford, Jr.

(1898–1958) journalist; born in Atlanta, Ga. A popular Washington reporter and columnist, he won a 1938 Pulitzer Prize for influential articles exposing corruption in the New Deal Works Progress Administration.
