Stratigraphic Scale

 

a scale showing the sequence and coordination of the stratigraphic units of the rocks forming the earth’s crust. It reflects the steps in the historical development of the earth’s crust. (See alsoGEOCHRONOLOGY, STRATIGRAPHY.)
