Streletskaia Steppe

 

a section of virgin steppeland with forb and cereal vegetation, 20 km south of Kursk. With its adjacent insular oak groves, the region represents a typical forest steppe. The Streletskaia Steppe is part of the Central Chernozem Preserve.
