an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Sudislavl’ Raion, Kostroma Oblast, RSFSR. Sudislavl’ is situated at the fork of the highways from Kostroma to Galich and Manturovo, 5 km from the Sudislavl’ railroad station and 51 km northeast of Kostroma. Enterprises include a logging and timber distribution establishment, a wood-products factory, and a milk combine. The settlement has a museum of local lore, which is a branch of the Kostroma Historical-Architectural Museum-Preserve.
