Sullana

 

a city in northwestern Peru, in the department of Piura; situated on the Chira River and the Pan American Highway. Population, 42,600 (1969). Sullana is the center of an agricultural region that raises cotton and corn. Vegetable oil is processed. Sullana also has an airport.
