Location:16 miles south of Santa Cruz via Highway 1 and San Andreas Road.
Facilities:90 developed family campsites (no hookups), restrooms, picnic areas (é), hiking trails, glider port for remote control gliders.
Activities:Camping, fishing, hiking, interpretive programs (seasonal).
Special Features:Sunset State Beach features pine trees, large sand dunes, and oceanside picnic spots. Strong currents make swimming hazardous here.
