IP port

A number assigned to applications and services in a TCP/IP network. The port may identify data transferred via either the reliable TCP protocol (financial data) or the unreliable UDP protocol (audio and video broadcasting/streaming) in the TCP/IP protocol suite. See TCP/IP port and TCP/IP.
