TDM switch

(1) A large-scale computer used in switched digital telephone circuits. See telephone switch and TDM.

(2) An inhouse PBX that supports circuit-switched lines (the traditional PBX without IP capability). See PBX and TDM.

The second phase, completed in April 2009, added Dialogic's CSP hardware to allow interconnection of WDT's ENTICE switch with its Nortel DMS-250 programmable TDM switch. This part of the project is enabling the operator to reduce costs by transitioning TDM traffic from traditional carriers to IP.
