Taimyr Bay

 

the shallow northeastern part of Taimyr Gulf, in the Kara Sea. Taimyr Bay has a length of approximately 100 km and a width at its entrance of 20 km. The Nizhniaia Taimyra River empties into the bay, thus connecting the bay with Lake Taimyr. The bay is inhabited by the ringed seal and the white whale.
