Taldom

 

a city and administrative center of Taldom Raion, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR. Taldom has a railroad station on the Moscow-Savelovo line 110 km north of Moscow. Enterprises in the city include footwear and clothing factories, a technological equipment plant, a poultry-packing combine, a milk plant, and a logging and timber distribution establishment. Taldom also has a museum of local lore.
