Talgi

 

a balneological health resort in the Dagestan ASSR, located 18 km from Makhachkala. Summers are hot, with an average July temperature of 24°C, and winters are mild, with an average January temperature of –1°C. Annual precipitation is 410 mm. Treatment makes use of hydrogen sulfide mineral springs, whose water is used in diluted form for therapeutic baths. Diseases treated at the resort include those of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, as well as gynecological and skin diseases. The resort has a sanatorium.
