Tar-Bonded Magnesite Refractory

 

any of the materials or moldable masses made from calcined magnesite (periclase) powder that are manufactured and used in the same way as tar-bonded dolomite refractories. Tar-bonded magnesite refractories containing less than 2–3 percent CaO are resistant to hydration upon exposure to the air.
