Date of birth unknown; died in 1597.

Tasch, a village innkeeper, was the leader of the peasant uprising in Austria from 1595 to 1597. With an army of 15,000 peasants, he led attacks on monasteries, estates of the aristocracy, and cities. Tasch was executed.
