Tauz
a city (since 1947) and administrative center of Tauz Raion, Azerbaijan SSR; situated on the left bank of the Tauz River, a tributary of the Kura River. Railroad station on the Tbilisi-Baku line. Population, 11,000 (1975). Tauz has cement and asphalt plants, a cannery, a winery, and a dairy combine.
