Taz Bay

 

an inlet of Ob’ Bay in the Kara Sea, between the Gydanskii and Taz peninsulas. It is about 330 km long and 45 km wide at the entrance. The shores are low-lying. The bay has semidiurnal tides of up to 0.7 m. The Taz and Pur rivers empty into Taz Bay.

By October 10, by tradition and in accordance with the climatic conditions, the first floating signs were removed in the Ob and Taz bays, the last in the Irtysh section from Tobolsk to the border with Kazakhstan, which operated until November 4 inclusive.
