Technical Unit of Mass

 

the unit of mass in the meter-kilogram-force-second (MkGS) system of units. The technical unit of mass is defined as the mass of a body to which a force of 1 kg-force will impart an acceleration of 1 m/sec2. Its abbreviation is kg-f-sec2/m, and its value is equal to 9.80665 kg.
