Technological Materials Balance

the ratio of the quantities of physical input and output in chemical production. The technological materials balance is drawn up on the basis of the equation of the main gross reaction, with due regard for secondary reactions. It is based on the law of preservation of mass (in this case, the total mass of the materials at the beginning of production is equal to the mass of materials at the end). The technological materials balance is calculated for one unit of raw material or output or for one piece of equipment or machinery per unit of time. The technological materials balance is included in the plan for new production facilities and in the analysis of the work of existing facilities.
